Hello there. Nice to see you again. Here are all the products that I currently use and recommend. I do have a few affiliate links that give me a little credit if you end up purchasing the item. So it’s a win win for the both of us! Whether I get credit from a company or not, these are the cream of the crop of what I use currently and would recommend them regardless.
Investing
- Vanguard: Great Company, low fees, and easy site navigation. My highest recommendation.
- TSP: If you’re military, take advantage of this investment plan. By far the lowest fees of any company and a great way to invest in your future.
- Betterment: Just set it and forget it. If you have less than $1000 dollars and want to invest right away, I would jump on Betterment immediately.
- Discover Saving: Need to stash up some emergency savings? Discover’s current rate of 0.95% is hard to beat. Almost 99 times better than a regular bank account savings.
Banks
- USAA: The best of the best. Military or military members’s families can take advantage of exceptional customer service and the lowest rate for a car loan. Amazing Company.
- Chase: The problem with USAA is that the company is primarily online. That’s where Chase comes in. They also have awesome promotions for new customers. Up to $300 for new customer sign up.
Credit Union
- Navy Federal Credit Union: A great credit union with great rates for car loans and a family promotion referral program up to $50 dollars per person. Military, military families, and DOD only.
- Pentagon Credit Union: I only use their online site but how cool is it to have a Pentagon card? Awesome! Very similar rates to Navy Fed and non military members can apply for memberships.
Fitness
- Run: What’s better than free? Nothing. Now run Forest!
- Bowflex Select Tech Dumbbells: For $250, you have a set of dumbbells that adjust from 7.5-55 LBS
- Pull up bar: Hook it up to your door frame and start pulling. Cost: $20
- P90X DVD: Eddie Lacy from the Green Bay Packers lost serious weight using this program. I lost about 20 LBS. Check Craigslist for cheap used copy or click on link to get the dvd set within two days.
- Leather jump rope: The G.O.A.T Muhammad Ali used it and you should too. Great for improving coordination, agility, speed, stamina, and rhythm. About $15.
Pets
- Dog: Man’s best friend. In many cases though, it can also be a ladies best friend. Get a Lab. (ok I’m biased on the lab part)
- Leopard gecko: Low maintenance and potty trained right off the bat. Comes in variety of colors.
- Crested gecko: The lowest of the low maintenance and very quiet. Needs water spray 2X a day.
Plants
- Cactus: I have one and it’s still alive! Nuff said.
Entertainment
- PlayStation 4: Video games and movies all in one package.
- Nintendo 3DS: Portable gaming at the palm of your hands.
- Nintendo Wii: Older system means cheap Super Mario Games
- PlayStation 3: Another older system with a library of over 1000 games.
- Netflix: By far the best online movie/TV subscription you can buy.
- Amazon Prime Movies: If you’re a Prime member (you should be) this amazing subscription is included in the package.
- Hulu: Recent shows on live TV usually show up the next day on Hulu. Commercials suck though but not unbearable.
Transportation
- Specialized Sirrus Hybrid Bike: Reduce carbon footprint and save dino juice with this wonderful machine. Promotes awesome legs and healthy heart.
- Cars: See Top 10 used cars list
