Sounds familiar right? It’s been said a thousand times but I feel that there are many ways to become more aware of your money. If you don’t know where your money is going, you will never achieve financial success. Mike Tyson and other countless famous athletes made millions of dollars in their careers and still ended up going bankrupt. In today’s age, technology has made it so easy to track where your money goes. Here are few ways you can do the same to make life just a bit easier to manage.
Personal Capital
My go to money app. This app can show you how much money you have in your bank account, savings, credit card balance, and investments with just a swipe of the wrist. All you have to do is set it up, and you are ready to rock.
Mint
Similar to Personal Capital with just a few things that kept it from being the best. You really can’t go wrong regardless.
Personal Online Bank
Download your personal bank app to see how your check account balance, savings, and bill pay. No stamps needed. Automate payments for less micromanaging. SThat’s it! Pretty simple right? To the future you go with these awesome apps and online access. Personal finance does not have to be difficult but it does require discipline and automation. By using these methods, you will be on your way to better financial flow and won’t be lost in your financial journey.
Old School Notebook
Nothing fancy about it. Just a notebook and a pen. Every time you spend or make money, jot it down. Being consistent is key. At the end of the week, look over how you did and adjust to do better for the next week. Rinse and repeat with the idea of always improving. Keep the notebook with you at all times. At the end of the month, look everything over and see how you did.
Cry yourself to sleep!
Did you do great? No?
What was that? You did awesome?
Do the happy dance!
